About the Role

LearningSpotz is looking for a passionate English Tutor to join our growing team in San Francisco, CA. As an English Tutor, you'll work with students ranging from middle school to college level, helping them build confidence and excel in reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and literature analysis. This flexible role offers the opportunity to tutor both online and in-person, allowing you to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle while making a meaningful impact in students' academic journeys.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small-group English tutoring sessions
• Help students with essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and literary analysis
• Coordinate schedules and communicate progress with parents where applicable
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles
• Maintain records of student progress and session notes

Qualifications

• Strong background in English, literature, or creative writing (college-level coursework)
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
• Reliable internet connection and ability to conduct online sessions
• Located in or near San Francisco, CA OR able to tutor online
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, encouraging, and passionate about language education

Compensation & Schedule

Competitive hourly pay ranging from $22 to $50 per hour depending on experience and subject matter. Set your own schedule and work with students that match your expertise. Whether you prefer morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend sessions, you have the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
